The Flight Pot: It’s a big, friendly giant. Assuaging doubts that one could ever maintain the greenery in a flowerpot that soars to nearly two meters in height, Jangir Maddadi Design Bureau has improved the bold piece by integrating an inner capsule. Now, anyone with a ladder and a green thumb can maintain Flight.
Scared of commitment? No worries. With the new capsule design, Flight Pot greenery can be switched out, pruned, or even replaced. Swap out winter plants for spring ones. Add a few trees. The choice is yours.
When design plans need refreshing, the capsule system makes the Flight Pot light – easy to move and maneuver.
All Flight Pots are made in Sweden, and are available in all RAL colors.
Jangir Maddadi began his career as a designer at Playsam – home of the world-renowned design toy company, whose focus is to create masterfully crafted wooden toys, whose design is so unique that it is unmistakeable. It is Playsam.
Working at Playsam had a strong influence on Maddadi’s early career, and he carries that with him today. His first design with them was a pencil sharpener in the shape of a small wooden car.
Later, Maddadi’s creation, the “XBus,” became a staple in the developing Streamliner series.
Jangir Maddadi has also been largely influential in the graphic elements of Playsam, redeveloping the packaging design for the company’s graphic profile. Below, a graphic rendition of the Volvo PV 544.
Amid the bustling center of Milan, we’re illuminating the entire space of the European School of Economics’ Otzium Café with all of our Jangir Maddadi signature lamps: The Swarm, the Droid, and our brand-new Rocket Lamp. Located in the center of Via Tortona, this is where elegant, Scandinavian contemporary design meets the flare of Italian fashion, Here, you can see how form meets function, as the Otzium Café clientele enjoy the trendy coffee shop’s interior makeover.
Experience it today at Via Tortona N°7, European School of Economics, Otzium Café, Milano.
These products will be on exhibition from now until April 2014.
Our latest Swarm photo shoot has truly captured the essence of the Swarm Lamp: Back to Nature. Here, the Swarm Lamps light up the dark Scandinavian forest like fireflies in the night. Their natural light glows from specialty Bulbrite lightbulbs.
Made from solid oak, glass and metal, the Swarm Lamps pay homage to traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship, coupled with a modern, organic design.
